It finally happened: Justice and Gesaffelstein have a track together. 'Pusher' is a seven-minute electro cut from Justice's score for Grand Theft Auto VI, and it's out now.

At a glance

  • Track: 'Pusher', Justice x Gesaffelstein, about 7 minutes
  • From: Justice's 50-track Grand Theft Auto VI score
  • Score album: 11 December, with 3-LP and 2-CD pre-orders available

What it sounds like

Dark synths and relentless percussion that feel like a getaway in progress. Around the three-minute mark it drops out as if it's over, then creeps back with eerie pulses and keeps the chase going. The second half leans more melodic, but the tension never lets up. Sharp-eared fans may recognise it as an ID Justice played in a recent New York DJ set.

More to come

'Pusher' follows 'Flower In a Hurricane', released earlier this month. With 50 pieces on the score, many of them short interludes, there's plenty more new Justice music on the way. The full album arrives a few weeks after the game, so for a while the only way to hear all of it will be playing GTA VI.

With a game this big, it's one of the biggest crossover moments French electro has had in years.
