Electric Bay Festival is coming back to Torre Abbey Meadows in Torquay on 10 and 11 July 2027 for its fifth edition. The dance music event took 2026 off, and organisers have now named Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics with Tom Richards Essential Orchestra as the Saturday headliner.

What we know

The festival sets out to bring big dance and drum and bass names to the south west of England. Alongside Pete Tong's orchestral Ibiza Classics show, the Saturday bill features DJ and producer Eats Everything, Chicago house figure Marshall Jefferson and DJ Paulette, who was once a resident at the Haçienda.

The Sunday headliner has not been revealed yet, and organisers say it will be announced soon. Past editions have booked Carl Cox, Chase and Status and the drum and bass live act Pendulum.

Local support

Torbay Council has welcomed the return. Cllr Jackie Thomas, the cabinet member for tourism, culture and events, said events like this are part of the council's plan for a varied programme of culture and music across the whole year.

She also pointed to the local economy. According to the council's latest economic impact survey, the 2025 festival brought in more than £1 million for the area, with around 10,000 people attending on the Saturday alone, and many visitors stayed overnight in local hotels.

Why it matters

After a year off, the return gives the English Riviera one of its biggest dance music weekends again. For fans in the south west, it means a large house and drum and bass event close to home rather than a long trip to a city festival.

The Saturday mix of an orchestral Ibiza show and long-standing house DJs should appeal to older clubbers and newer fans alike. Torquay's live music calendar already includes nights like Day Fever Torquay, and Electric Bay adds a full weekend to it.
