What we know
Opening night on Friday features Loco Dice, Ilario Alicante and HoneyLuv. On Saturday, the venue celebrates the 35th anniversary of Nervous Records, with Louie Vega, Oscar G, Anané, Will Automagic of The Carry Nation and a special guest appearance from Victor Calderone.
Nervous Records was founded in New York in 1991 and has released more than 5,000 records. The anniversary night is a fitting way to start a venue built around house music's legacy.
The room combines Brooklyn's industrial architecture with the kind of production usually seen at Pacha's international venues. It runs a d&b audiotechnik sound system, three 13-by-13-foot LED screens, 12 more LED installations and more than 450 lighting fixtures.
Why it matters
The club follows the debut of Pacha New York's open-air venue earlier this summer. That gives the brand two spots in the city, one seasonal and one open all year. It also continues Pacha's push beyond its traditional European base, more than five decades after the original Ibiza club opened.
For New York dancers, it adds another large indoor room to the scene. You can read more about the lineup in our opening weekend report, and tickets and backstage access are available now. The two opening nights offer quite different flavors, with Friday focused on techno and house and Saturday on a New York house music institution, so there is something for different tastes from day one.
