BAYO is going home for its tenth birthday. Michaël Brun has announced that his celebration of Haitian and Afro-Caribbean culture returns to Miami's Little Haiti neighbourhood on November 22, 2026. The anniversary edition is free, capped at 7,500 attendees, and will be the largest Little Haiti edition so far.

What we know

BAYO began a decade ago as a small, spur-of-the-moment free party in Little Haiti with fewer than 50 people. Since then it has toured 12 cities, sold more than 50,000 tickets and welcomed surprise guests including J Balvin, Saint Levant, Maxwell, Kah-Lo, Oxlade, Machel Montano and Wyclef Jean. The name means "to give" in Haitian Creole.

This year's anniversary run has already included a show at Boston's Agganis Arena and a sold-out three-night residency at Brooklyn Paramount. Brun has also played Barclays Center this year.

The Miami edition will have a surprise lineup and a vendor village of Haitian and Caribbean food and art. Brun says the event will continue to support local cultural organisations. Tickets are distributed through a raffle, and more than half are reserved for Florida residents and Haitian communities.

In a statement, Brun said the first Little Haiti block party was the start of a journey across 12 cities with more than 140 guest artists, and that he is proud to bring BAYO back for its biggest show yet.

Why it matters

Brun, born and raised in Port-au-Prince, has become one of the most visible Haitian voices in music, with credits alongside J Balvin, Becky G, Buju Banton and King Promise and a Latin Grammy for his work with Balvin. Bringing BAYO back to the neighbourhood where it started, as a free show, keeps community at the centre of the project rather than treating it as a footnote.

It also adds a notable free date to Miami's late-2026 calendar, well ahead of the city's spring festival season led by Ultra Miami 2027.
