One week after releasing "Take Me Home", Armin van Buuren has followed it with an official remix under his Rising Star alias.

Why Rising Star matters

Rising Star is one of Armin's foundational aliases, created around 1999, the same time he launched his label Armind. Under it he explored a more ethereal, melodic side of trance, with tracks like "Touch Me" becoming anthems of the early club era.

Armin has revived his historic aliases from time to time, splitting his sound between deeper explorations as Gaia and emotive trance as Rising Star. When Rising Star returns, it marks a step away from radio-friendly sounds and a return to the golden era of 138 to 140 BPM trance.

The remix

The Rising Star version is an extended mix with a longer breakdown. It adds a second trance melody after the first chorus that carries into the drop, pushing the tempo to 140 BPM. With vocals from Poppy Baskomb, it offers a fresh take on the Red Hot Chili Peppers classic.
