Amnesia Ibiza wrapped up its 50th anniversary season on October 10 with a Closing Festival that lasted 19 hours. The party began outdoors at 5 p.m. and finished on the club's Terrace at midday on Sunday, with three indoor rooms each looking at a different part of the club's history.

At a glance

  • Event: Amnesia Ibiza 50th anniversary Closing Festival
  • Date: October 10, running until midday Sunday
  • Length: 19 hours
  • Spaces: the new open-air Anniversary Area, the Main Room, the Terrace and a new room called El Taller
  • Names included: Nina Kraviz, Deborah De Luca, Joseph Capriati, Groove Armada and Klangkuenstler

What happened

For the first time, the club used its car park as a stage. Called the Anniversary Area, it ran for six hours from 5 p.m. as a nod to the open-air dancing of Amnesia's early days.

Luca Donzelli started things off, then Kolter and Traumer went back to back. Joseph Capriati played through sunset and ended with a surprise appearance from Locomia, before Alisha b2b Julian Fijma and a closing slot from Groove Armada and Max Dean, who dropped remixes of 'Rapture', 'Lovelee Dae' and 'World a Reggae'.

Inside the club

The action moved indoors at 11 p.m. The Main Room focused on heavy techno and the women behind the club's season: resident Katnada, Estella Boersma, a Serafina and Yanamaste b2b, then Nina Kraviz and Deborah De Luca. Future666 followed, and Klangkuenstler closed the room in what was his only confirmed Ibiza date of 2026.

A new smaller room, El Taller, was built around the club's back catalogue. Long-time resident Les Schmitz, who chose the tracks for Amnesia's 50th anniversary vinyl series, played there with Franco Moiraghi and Jason Bye.

The Terrace stuck with house music, the sound linked to past Amnesia names such as Alfredo, Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano. After sets from Jamie Fielding and several back-to-backs, musical director Mar-T played a set with visuals looking back over five decades, and Saoirse and Enzo Siragusa closed the night together as the sun came up.

Why it matters

Fifty years is a rare milestone for any club, and Amnesia used the closing party to show its whole story, from open-air beginnings to today's techno. New ideas like the car park stage and El Taller suggest the club is still trying new things.

Closing parties are a big part of the Ibiza calendar, alongside events like the RESISTANCE Ibiza Closing Party. This one stood out for its length and its focus on the club's own history.
