What we know
The first line-up announcement mixes genres, from pop and indie to rock and dance. Kings of Leon are described as a Grammy Award-winning alternative rock band, while Fatboy Slim is the dance headliner.
Rudimental and Becky Hill add more dance-leaning names beneath the headliners. Newer artists Aaron Rowe, The Lilacs and Keo will also play.
The festival has shared the news on its official social channels. Tickets go on sale at 8 am on Monday 26 October.
The announcement is described as the first line-up release, so more names may follow before the festival. The source does not say when further acts will be revealed.
Fatboy Slim is a long-running name in dance music, and his booking gives the weekend a strong electronic anchor next to the pop and rock headliners.
Why it matters
A 25th edition since the revival is a milestone, and booking a dance legend at the top of the poster shows how electronic acts sit alongside rock and pop at big UK festivals. If you want to go, the ticket release is only a few days away. Fatboy Slim fans can also see other shows on RaveConnects, such as Lytham Festival - Fatboy Slim + special guest Becky Hill.
